Event time:

Location:
Guilford Community Center See map Guilford, CT
Event description:

For all of human history, we have looked to the stars with wonder and curiosity. Stars and planets that we can see have inspired mythology and helped us navigate our own planet. But what exists beyond our small corner of the universe? How can we observe things that we can’t see? In this month’s Science in the News talk Yale scientists will tell us how unseen objects can uncover hidden secrets of the universe. You’ll learn about the possible existence of a new planet - ‘Planet 9’ - and about telescopes buried deep in polar ice that help us see beyond our galaxy.

This talk will be hosted by the Schiller Shoreline Institute for Lifelong Learning. Attendance is limited to SSILL members at the Guilford Community Center. To learn more, please email our SSILL contact at lizzy.nand@yale.edu.
